Understand email aliases and forwarding

Use an email alias to reduce exposure of your primary inbox address.

Updated:

Availability depends on your app version and plan. Check the tools shown in your app before subscribing.

Follow these steps

Use an email alias to reduce exposure of your primary inbox address.

  1. Confirm that your app version shows a Mail Relay entry.
  2. Sign in and check your plan and configured destination inbox.
  3. Create an alias only when your account has the required permission.
  4. Test delivery with a non-sensitive message.
  5. Pause or remove an alias when it is no longer useful.

Check the result

Forwarding can fail because of destination filtering or quotas. Do not advertise a relay address as an independent anonymous mailbox. Check availability before buying a plan for this tool.

When you need support

Include your device platform, app version, network type and the step that failed. Remove personal information from screenshots. Never share passwords, account tokens or recovery codes.
