AppsiOS & Android
YouTube. Follow your curiosity.
Learn something new, revisit a favorite creator or find a little inspiration. On shared Wi-Fi, add connection protection with HaloVPN before you press play.

Choose a quality that fits your connection
YouTube can adjust quality automatically. If a video pauses often, start with Auto or a lower quality rather than forcing high resolution. Higher quality uses more data; available formats also depend on the video and device. Try the same clip before testing another HaloVPN location.
Keep an eye on mobile data
Review YouTube’s quality preferences for Wi-Fi and mobile networks and your carrier’s usage meter. A VPN does not make video data free or remove a carrier limit. On Android, include YouTube in HaloVPN app routing if you want its traffic in the tunnel. YouTube memberships and advertising remain separate.
Your everyday connection, in a few taps
Connect before opening your favorite app on unfamiliar Wi-Fi. Keep the app’s own account protection enabled too.
- Install HaloVPN from the App Store or Google Play.
- Finish any Wi-Fi sign-in, then connect HaloVPN.
- Confirm the connected state before opening the app.
- On Android, choose app routing if you only want selected apps to use the VPN.
Questions, answered
Does a VPN make my app account anonymous?
No. The app can still recognize your signed-in account. VPN protection does not erase account history, remove permissions or replace two-step verification.
Can I choose which apps use HaloVPN?
On Android, yes: include or exclude selected apps, then reconnect. Excluded apps use the normal network without VPN protection. This per-app control is not available in HaloVPN for iOS.
